Adobe names former Intuit CMO Lara Balazs as next CMO
Global software giant Adobe has named Lara Balazs as its new CMO and executive vice president for global marketing. She was previously CMO at financial software specialist Intuit where, during her tenure, the company saw a period of sustained growth.
At Adobe, Balazs will manage the global marketing team responsible for Adobe.com and the company’s events, campaigns, communications, social media, media operations, and marketing insights.
Balazs has previously worked in leadership roles at brands including Amazon, Nike, and Visa, helping to drive the growth of Amazon Prime and launch mobile-first products such as Apple Pay and Visa Checkout. She holds a BA in Pre-law from the University of Washington and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
“We’re delighted to welcome Lara Balazs to lead Adobe’s Global Marketing Organization,” said Adobe chair and CEO, Shantanu Narayen.
“As Adobe continues to deliver industry-leading product innovations across content creation and digital marketing, Lara’s unique experience across B2C and B2B industries and deep insights as an Adobe customer will help us engage our growing universe of users more effectively while expanding Adobe’s brand reach and impact.”
Balazs was named by Forbes as one of the World’s Most Influential CMOs and was a recipient of AdWeek’s CMO Vanguard Award.
